Week 1 Recap

In case you’re just joining us, no worries.  You can easily jump right in.  We are trying to keep each week super manageable – we are really busy, remember?   We’re trying to dedicate one glorious, measly hour a week to ourselves.  Last week’s homework was just an introduction.  We started to crack the journal open and increase our mindfulness.  (Week 1 Homework)

This week’s journal entry assignment (Assignment: Week 1) was about taking inventory.

As the exercise instructed, I took a meditational approach to looking back over the last week to evaluate the good, the bad, and the ugly.  I made my list.   Even making this list has me feeling a little more in control.  If you want to peek into my journal and read my full entry, I’ll share a link to it below.

Oh, the poor side dish.  Perpetually on the B list for the party … part of the main dish’s entourage, always hoping to make the invite list.  Geared around the star of the show, with the difficult duty of “complementing” the main course.  Yes, it has to make the star shine.  It is to the main dish what makeup artists are to the Real Housewives.   Smiles and nods.  Patient, hard working, and entirely under appreciated.
